As the statistics above indicate, indoor air quality is a growing concern in today's energy efficient homes. The dust that collects in the average home contains mold, mildew, mites, pollen, animal dander and a varitey of other contaminants. These substances circulate through the central air conditioning system and can collect and build up in the HVAC system duct work of your home. After a period of time, there can be a noticible build up of dust and contaminants in your duct work that can cause a variety of health problems for your family. Duct cleaning may be a viable option to reduce these contaminants which will improve your homes indoor air quality and allow your HVAC system to operate more efficiently. For additional stategies on how to improve your homes indoor air quality, please see the EPA's Care for Air: A Guide to Indoor Air Quality.
